EXPLORE THE WONDERS OF RISHIKESH

Rishikesh is full of cultural attractions and is well known for showcasing Indian traditions. The Maha Aarti at Triveni Ghat, which is held every evening, attracts tourists and locals. Every year, Rishikesh is the proud host of the International Yoga and Music Festival. It also serves as the Gateway to the Char Dham destinations: Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
Absorbing the sights and sounds of Rishikesh never gets tiring. There are a plethora of ashrams to visit, such as the Parmarth Niketan and The Beatles Ashram. Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula and the Rishikesh Market are filled with places to shop and eat. In addition, Rishikesh has been blessed with a bounty of natural beauty: The Ganges River and the mystical mountains in the backdrop are breathtaking. Within a short hiking distance, there are several beautiful waterfalls. Walking on the Astha Path, which runs along the Ganges, in the early mornings and evenings, melts away all the stress.
Not to be missed is a sunrise visit to the picturesque Kunjapuri temple, perched at an elevation of approximately 1600 meters above sea level. The views of prominent Himalayan peaks (Chakhamba, Kedarnath, Gangotri) are mesmerizing. The stunning sunrise over the Shivalik mountain ranges is a veritable postcard moment. The Vashishta Cave, situated on the banks of the Ganges, is a popular place for meditation lovers. This is the cave where great Sage Vashishta, one of the seven great sages, is said to have meditated.
For the thrill-seekers, activities like river rafting, bungee jumping and trekking are also easily accessible.
